GMC Consulting Group is a small accounting firm located in the heart of Silicon Valley on the West Coast in the U.S. where we service startups and other small businesses. We provide Accounting, Human Resource and Payroll services to clients based in the U.S. a few have foreign subsidiaries. Most of our clients use QuickBooks online and NetSuite. The work is exciting and challenging due to the variety of clients and working with scaling companies that partner with us to help them achieve their goals. This position is remote night shift position (9 pm - 6am) supporting cleints in the U.S. PST timezone.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily Client Email management - respond to emails professionally

Communicate with clients and in-house stakeholders

Make sure all bookkeeping is accurate and adheres to client requirements

Perform daily accounting tasks such as Accounts Payable (post bills), Accounts Receivable (prepare invoices and post cash receipts)

Complete Adhoc work as assigned

Complete Month end close tasks:

       Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations

       Review trend analysis

       Properly store and manage financial data

Skills & Qualifications (Must Haves):

Minimum 3 years of hands on Accounting experience.

QuickBooks online experience.

Strong understanding of Debits/Credits and impact on financial statements.

Highly computer literate.

Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.

Excellent attention to detail, to ensure accuracy in financial records.

Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

Ability to work under pressure with competing work demands and to tight deadlines.

Effective interpersonal style including demonstrated sense of discretion, judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Initiative and ability to work independently under broad supervision, as well as ability to work well in a team to achieve results.

Accounting Degree required
